The Des Moines County Historical Society is governed by a Board consisting of no less than seven members and no more than nine members. The current officers and at-large board members are:

Michael Herron, At Large

Forest Gahn, Honorary Board Member

Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm at the Heritage Center. The public is welcome to attend.
