DMC Heritage Center
The Des Moines County Heritage Center features historical displays and educational programs for all ages. Catfish Corners, a child size frontier village, is an Explore More exhibit where young children engage in learning through imagination and discovery. Laying brick, sorting type, searching for fossils and other hands-on activities encourage school age children to touch and learn. The 19th Century Gallery examines life in a small but flourishing frontier community. The Agricultural Corridor, the Grand Gallery and the 20th Century Gallery offer a variety of exhibits that honor and recall the creative and interesting people who have called this area home.
