The Bart Howard Room
For the Preservation of American Cabaret Music

The Des Moines County Heritage Center is please to present this exciting exhibit hall. The Bart Howard Room is reminiscent of the Blue Angel Nightclub where Howard was MC for several years. His gift for clever lyrics and enchanting melodies has kept his music at the forefront of the Cabaret Scene, where he arranged, wrote, and composed music for notable performers such as Mabel Mercer, Peggy Lee, and Frank Sinatra. This exhibit gallery in the DMC Heritage Center commemorates Howard’s contributions to the world of music.
